Get to Know Me

Hello, and welcome. My name is Ilka Guevara, and I am a South Carolina Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) with over 17 years of experience providing compassionate care to older adults in long-term care, hospice, and home care settings. I am also a Certified Dementia Practitioner (NCCDP) and completed my End-of-Life Doula Professional Certificate through the University of Vermont.

My journey into end-of-life care became deeply personal while walking alongside my father during his hospice journey. That experience reinforced what I had always believed…that every person deserves dignity, comfort, and compassionate presence at the end of life.

Today, I combine my clinical caregiving experience with the heart-centered support of an End-of-Life Doula to provide comfort, companionship, and guidance to individuals and families during life’s final chapter. I offer my services on a flexible sliding scale because I believe no one should have to face this journey alone.

Support I Provide

**For a deeper look at how I can support you and your loved ones, visit the “About” page in the menu.**

Compassionate Presence

I offer emotional & spiritual support to individuals nearing the end of life, as well as their loved ones. Whether its holding space, offering a calm presence, listening without judgment or simply sitting quietly beside someone - my role is to help bring comfort, dignity and peace to everyone involved in this sacred time.

Legacy & Life Reflections

I can help create meaningful ways to honor and reflect on a life - whether that's recording stories, writing letters, creating keepsakes, or simply encouraging open conversations. These gentle rituals can help bring closure, connection and lasting memories for loved ones.

Notary Support (Non-Legal)

While I am not an attorney and cannot provide legal advice, I can offer Notary services for documents such as advance directives, living wills or other personal paperwork. This can help ease the practical side of end-of-life planning, ensuring your wishes are documented with care.
